Shelli Stephens-Stidham, M.P.A., is a Senior Program Consultant with Safe States Alliance. She joined the staff in July 2020. From 2008 to June 2020, she was the Director of the Injury Prevention Center of Greater Dallas and Community Health Impact at Parkland Health & Hospital System. From 1992 to 2008, she held various roles with the Injury Prevention Service at the Oklahoma State Department of Health.
She is a member of the Injury Control and Emergency Health Services Section of the American Public Health Association, External Advisory Committee for the University of North Carolina Injury Prevention Research Center, Lifesavers Traffic Safety Conference Planning Committee, and Children’s Safety Now Alliance Steering Committee. She chairs the Texas Governor’s EMS & Trauma Advisory Council (GETAC) Injury Prevention and Public Education Committee and is a co-founder of the Texas Injury Prevention Leadership Collaborative.
As a transplant to Texas, she loves everything about her adopted city of Dallas, as well as the geographic diversity of the state. She enjoys snow skiing, traveling, photography, blogging, and meaningful inquiring conversations.
